Driving home one night, I was thinking about some dear ones in my life who were repeatedly getting their hearts broken in their efforts to find lasting romantic love. I remember, so well, what that felt like and how exhausting it was to realize you had to start all over again each time it fell apart. I had the first half of the song written before I pulled into the driveway. I grabbed my guitar, figured out the chords, and called my friend, Hannah Miller to come over and finish it with me a few days later. I hope this song helps those lonely hearts in the world feel seen and understood. Sometimes you don’t want to hear, “There’s other fish in the sea.” You just want to say, “This sucks, this is how I feel right now”, and have someone sit with you in that. That’s what I hope to do for you with this song. You ARE loved. - Michelle
